((the inside scoop on why I write so many words and a look at some of my favorites in my journal))
I was talking to a little human named Addison last night I found myself telling her that when she's afraid or nervous she should talk to Jesus because he IS with us wherever we go. I have to talk to Jesus a lot during the day because I get scared a lot, I don't know why this happens but I tend to live in fear being scared of things that probably won't ever happen.
I have to bring him into the situation multiple times a day. When I find myself anxious I am reminded that "Perfect love drives out fear" and that "God is Love" and "His ways are Perfect" --I need the Joshua 1:9 reminder myself and that's why I painted it.
I paint and letter things that I need to remember. If I write them and see them over and over maybe I'll start to believe them. It's hard for me to read something, and think something, and say something that I don't believe.
Reading scripture gives me peace, I need scripture everywhere throughout the house because I'm trying to rid myself of the negative that was impressed on me for most of my life. I have come a long way in 6 years and it is only because of Jesus and God's Word and HIS transforming power.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV)
Here's a cute doodle I found and I'll leave you with :)
